Shell Diala S4 ZX-I is a premium, biodegradable electrical insulating oil designed for high-performance power transformers and switchgear. Manufactured using GTL (gas-to-liquid) technology, it features zero sulphur content, providing superior oxidation stability and protection against copper corrosion. It is highly efficient,, offering excellent heat transfer and low-temperature flow. Manufactured from GTL base oils with a sulfur content below the 1 ppm detection limit (ASTM D5185), making it naturally non-corrosive to copper without needing additional passivators.According to Shell, it is a fully inhibited oil that offers up to 5x better oxidation stability than standard industry requirements.It is classified as "readily biodegradable" according to the OECD 301B test, exceeding 60% degradation after 28 days.The oil maintains excellent fluidity even in extreme cold, with a pour point of -45°C, ensuring efficient heat transfer during cold starts.
