Mercedes-Benz MB 236.15 specification is a high-performance, low-viscosity Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) specifically developed for the 7G-Tronic Plus (NAG2FE+) 7-speed automatic transmissions produced after June 2010.It is easily identifiable by its Blue color, distinguishing it from the earlier Red ATF (MB 236.14).You cannot use MB 236.15 (Blue) in older 7G-Tronic (NAG2) transmissions that require MB 236.14 (Red). The lower viscosity of the Blue fluid can lead to insufficient lubrication and transmission failure in older units.If the transmission oil pan has oval indentations and the overflow pipe is green, it typically requires the MB 236.15 fluid. If the overflow pipe is white or black, it likely requires MB 236.14.While Mercedes-Benz intervals vary by region and driving conditions, the standard recommendation for the 7G-Tronic Plus is typically every 125,000 km (approx. 77,500 miles) or 5 years, whichever comes first.
